As the Easter weekend draws closer and everyone tries to get away, heavy traffic tonight between peak hours of 4-7 may increase by as much 30%.
Warnings from transport services have asked brits to organise their time and plan their route towards airports and trains and even consider alternative routes that avoid the heavily congested motorways.
Reports suggest the best times to travel are between 10 am and midday Friday to Monday, with the most affected motorways reported to be the m6 and m25.
Train lines will be undertaking engineering works, with network rail planning around two hundred projects. Routes to London, Manchester and Glasgow are among some of the affected.
Airports will have an influx of Brits trying to get to away, the tourism increase over the short holiday will mean queuing at passport control longer than expected over the next few days.
Either way, if you are staying home for an easter egg hunt, hitting the roads, tracks or sky, make sure you have a lovely easter and enjoy your eggs.. kinder for us at ECS!
